  1. I'd say if she wants to have another child that she'll need to look into either using a surrogate mother or adopting.  Without a uterus, there's no way that she'd be able to bring a child to term.  Technically, it is possible for someone to perform a uterus transplant BUT this is an incredibly bad idea for a number of reasons.

First, we're talking about major abdominal surgery just to transplant in the new organ.  That's risky enough as is.

Secondly, on top of this, she'll need to take drugs to suppress her immune system after the surgery, so that her body doesn't reject the new uterus.  Let me break this down for you: she would have major abdominal surgery and then IMMEDIATELY have a weakened immune system.  This means that if anything in the surgery goes wrong, she'll have a greatly decreased chance of fighting it off.  She'd also have to be extremely careful in her regular life, because things like colds that she'd been able to fight off before will suddenly become much more problematic.  She'll be at increased risk of infection while pregnant, which is NEVER a good thing for either her or the fetus.

Organ transplant is an extremely dangerous thing for a person to undergo.  It should only be performed in order to save a person's life (such as if they need a liver transplant or lung transplant or something).  Your mother could very well die if she decides that she wants a uterus transplant.  Even if the transplant goes well, there's still no guarantee that a pregnancy would go well.  There's absolutely no reason for your mother to put her life in this level of risk just to have a child when it's possible for her to use a surrogate or adopt.
