  1. I can't imagine buying glasses without trying them on - it is so important to find a pair which is comfortable (and obviously they also have to look good - but in my experience, the ones which are most comfortable also look the best).  In my early days of wearing glasses, I made a few bad choices through rushing this decision.  In fact I disliked the look of my first pair so much that I was actually quite pleased that my eyes got much worse after just 6 months of glasses wearing - it was a good excuse to buy a much nicer pair.

  2. you need to read the nelson' s chart to assess the vision loss and your age if you are diabetics or hypertensive or any sys temic disease the details and controlls--   for  all these things you may not provide time or chance to inspect yourself more than all ,who w ill give a prescription, no body will take risk to satisfy you the way you want.

  3. When you buy glasses online, you don't have anyone to return to if you have a problem like you can't see, they give you headaches, or they break. Most online eyeglass sites don't offer decent quality of frames nor lenses, these are your eyes, you only get one pair, go to your doctor.

I had a patients who's dad thought it would be cheaper to order them online, and it was, but when they broke a week later, well, there was nothing I could do but sell him a new pair. $40 for one pair of glasses that lasted a week, when you think of it like that, it's pretty expensive. The pair I sold him was $200, and they are two years old now (that's only about $2 a week) and they are still in good shape and are his back up pair to his new pair (that he also got from me!).
