BOLTON WANDERERS
It has been confirmed by Owen Coyle that the Wanderers experienced centre-half Andy O'Brien could join Champions side, Leeds United, on permanent basis. O’Brien joined Leeds on loan back in the last days of October and since then the 31-year-old has appeared
10 times for the Championship side.
Coyle said: "It has certainly not happened yet, but Andy was given permission to speak to Leeds, as he was with Cardiff and Ipswich. There is nothing signed and sealed as yet, but there is every chance that will come to fruition in the next couple of days."
Bolton Wanderers are currently placed seventh in the Barclays Premier League standings with 30 points to their name out of 22 league matches.
Bolton drew their last match with Wigan Athletic at Reebok Stadium by one goal to each side. Bolton Wanderers will play their next match against York City in FA Cup on this weekend. However, the Trotters next match is against Stoke City at the Britannia
Stadium.
CHELSEA
Chelsea’s talismanic midfielder, Frank Lampard, is determined to perform well in the Champions League despite missing all the group matches due to injuries. is likely to feature in that match.
Lampard, who is willing to impress in the Champions League, said: "When you get to the last 16, you feel the eyes of the world are watching it. It is what all the kids like, it is the ultimate club competition. I have a goal in a losing final and that is
nice in a small way for me but that drives you on more to want to be part of a winning final."
Frank Lampard recently returned from injury two weeks ago and he played his first match in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 defeat against Arsenal in the end of December. The English midfielder is now back to his full fitness and has been starting for Chelsea in recent matches.
The Barclays Premier League champions are currently placed fifth in the standings with 35 points to their name out of 21 league fixtures and they are now nine points short of league leaders, Manchester United.
Chelsea lost their last match against Wolverhampton Wanderer by one goal at Molineux and their next match is against Championship side, Ipswich Town, in FA Cup.
