Blackburn Rovers
The Rovers’ experienced centre-half, Pascal Chimbonda has been asked to leave Blackburn as soon as next month’s transfer window. The Frenchman’s contract expires at the end of this season and Blackburn have decided not to renew his contract and are happy
to let him go.
Pascal, who was at fault more than once against Manchester United, was linked with West Ham United last summer and it seems like Upton Park would be his next destination.
While talking about Pascal Chimbonda’s situation, Rovers’ boss Sam Allardyce said that Blackburn is not going to renew Pascal contract. The Big Sam added that West Ham United showed interest in Pascal in last transfer window and Pascal would join the Hammers
come January.
Blackburn lost their last match against their local rivals Bolton Wanderers. Bolton Wanderers, who were down to 10 men from the start of second half, won the match convincingly by three goals to nil.
Blackburn Rovers are placed 13th in Barclays Premier League table with 21 points to their name out of 17 League matches.
The Rovers will host West Ham United for the eighteenth round of Barclays Premier League next Saturday and a win over Hammers would see Sam Allardyce and his men climb into the top half of the Barclays Premier League table.

Bolton Wanderers
The Trotters’ boss acknowledges that Bolton Wanderers’ stand-out performer of this season, Johan Elmander could leave in the winter transfer window. The Swedish striker of Bolton is in red-hot form in this season and has already scored eight goals for the
Wanderers.
Moreover, Elmander’s impressive form in front of goals has also placed Bolton at the sixth position of the Barclays Premier League table, which is Bolton’s best standing in English top flight football in recent history.
However, Elmander’s immense form is thought to have enticed the attention of several big teams in Europe. Johan Elmander’s current contract is set to expire by the end of this season and the Wanderer’s are desperate to hang on to one of their valued assets
but the two parties have yet to settle a new contract.
Moreover, Bolton manager, Owen Coyle also admits that his talismanic striker may be on his way as early as January- if the right club made an approach.
Coyle said, "He has been fantastic for me. The relationship I have got with him is great, it is very upfront and we are quite open with each other. If in January a top club, a Champions League club, came in for Johan, it would only be natural that he would
turn his head at that."
Bolton Wanderers won their last match against their fierce local rivals Blackburn Rovers by three goals to one. Despite being one man down, Bolton Wanderers snatched all three points and triumphed against Sam Allardyce’s team for the first time in six years.
The Trotters’ are now sixth in the League table with 26 points to their credit out of 17 Premier League games. Bolton Wanderers will visit Stadium of Light next Saturday to face Sunderland, who are unbeaten at home since March.
