Review of the News: Blackpool, Fulham and Liverpool
BLACKPOOL
The Blackpool's most successful manager thinks that he has been brought back to life. Ian Holloway, who is the only manager in Blackpool’s who has brought the club to Barclays Premier League, insists that his club’s progress in English top flight football
has rekindled his enthusiasm, following his time at Leicester City which was not very successful.
Ian Holloway said that it was great that how his team is performing in Barclays Premier League and the affection of Blackpool’s players have brought him back to life.
Blackpool are currently placed at the 11th position with 19 points to their out of 15 Barclays Premier League matches. Blackpool is one of the newly promoted clubs of Premier League, who have done pretty well in the starting spell of the season
and is well settled in top flight football.
Blackpool have a huge test coming up, as they will host Premier League only unbeaten team Manchester United for the sixteenth round of Barclays Premier League. Manchester United thrashed Blackburn Rovers by seven goals last week at Old Trafford and would
enter this match with high confidence level and would look to continue their unbeaten streak of 15 games.
However, Blackpool also managed to earn a single point in a quite difficult away fixture at Reebok against Bolton Wanderers.  Blackpool scored the first two goals of the match against Wanderers but unfortunately conceded two late goals in second half.

FULHAM
The new Fulham manager was delighted with the long awaited return of his talismanic Ghanaian defender John Pantsil against Birmingham City last weekend. John Pantsil replaced Carlos Salcido after the first half and received a rapturous reception from Fulham
faithful at Caravan Cottage.
Moreover, the Ghana international played extremely well and helped his side earn a 1-1 draw against Birmingham.
While talking about John Pantsil return and his performance against City, Mark Hughes said that John gave a fine performance and did really well after being out for such long time.
The former Manchester City manager added: “I would expect him to be frustrated because he wants to play - every player at every Premier League club wants to play. But you can't always get into the side, and that's what happened to John. He had a little loss
of form at the start of the season and lost his place but now he's got an opportunity to stay in the team."
The last year Europa Cup runner’s up are sitting one point ahead of relegation zone. Fulham are 16th in Barclays Premier League with only 15 points in 15 games.

LIVERPOOL
The Liverpool defender, Martin Skrtel has claimed his first goal for The Reds mattered little as in the end Liverpool lost that match against Tottenham Hotspurs by two goals to one last weekend.  The Slovakian International said that it was nice to find
net for the first time in top flight football but Liverpool ended up in losing that match which did not make him happy.
However, Liverpool has qualified for the knock-out stage of Europa Cup last night. Liverpool will play next match against Aston Villa on Monday night for the sixteenth round of Barclays Premier League.
Liverpool are currently placed at the bottom of the top half of the table i.e. 10th position with 19 points out of 15 Premier League games.
