Review of the News: Newcastle United, Stoke City and Sunderland
Newcastle United:
The Three Lions manager hopes Newcastle United’s talismanic striker would return to Magpies in better shape.  Undoubtedly Andy Carroll gives more elasticity in his play than anybody else who has been tried, with Fabio particularly impressed
by his performance against Arsenal, in which Carroll scored the decisive goal of the match at Emirates.
Fabio Capello said that he watched Andy Carroll at Emirates and Newcastle United’s striker was very impressive. The Italian manager also added that the Magpies striker was strong in the air and won many aerial battles. Capello added that
Carroll was
The England manager said: “He is a fighter and a really interesting player for us. When he receives the ball he helps the team to go forward."
Unfortunately, Andy Carroll failed to perform on Wednesday and England lost to France by two goals to one at Wembley.  Peter Crouch managed to engrave his name on the score sheet, whereas Andy Carroll was substituted in the 60th minute.
Stoke City:
It has been confirmed by the Potters that their centre half Robert Huth was not shown a yellow card during Stoke City’s two goal win over Liverpool last weekend. Robert Huth has already been book for four times so far in this season and
one more booking would see him miss Stoke City’s next match.
Reports had suggested Robert was shown a yellow card following a challenge on Steven Gerrard, which would have led to the Potter defender being suspended for next week’s trip to WBA.
However, Stoke City have confirmed that not to be the situation, proposing some misunderstanding may have been produced by match official dropping his cards.
Sunderland:
Jordan Henderson says he will "not do anything" to jeopardise his football career as he makes his England breakthrough. The Sunderland midfielder made his international debut in Wednesday's friendly with France at Wembley after a series
of impressive performances this season. Jordan was part of Sunderland’s team which defeated Chelsea by three goals at their home.
But, at a moment when few footballers appear to be in the limelight for the wrong causes, Jordan is determined nothing will side-track him.
The New England boy said that he just loved football and wanted to continue doing that. He added that his parents had been good influence on him.
He said: “My Parents have brought me up really well, have always kept my feet on the ground and not let me get carried away. I just love playing football and I don't want anything to jeopardise that. I like to go in every day
training and working hard. I don't drink or smoke. A good night for me is watching the highlights of the Chelsea game. That's me. I never go out. The only time I go out is Christmas night when the whole team goes out for team bonding and stuff like that. But
I still won't drink or anything."
Sunderland will welcome to Everton for the 14th Barclays Premier League fixture on Monday, November 22. Steve Bruce’s men would look to continue their impressive form, after defeating Chelsea by three goals. Sunderland
is currently on the 6th position and a win over the Toffees would take them to Champions League place.
