  1. Never had problems with mine, works great, had mine for five years plus.

  2. it is ok but you can do better ALOT better it is just a cheep gun let it cool after each shot or u will warp it

  3. A few weeks ago i was at the sport shop and noticed he had a Mossberg 500 and the Mossberg Maverick 88 in the shelf. We took them down and compared them side by side and I got to tell you they are almost the same shotgun.... The barrels are the same, stocks are the same and the receiver at least on the outside is the same.... The safety was in a different location.... I do know the barrels interchange and stocks interchange. I have it on good investigation the trigger group and foregrip do not interchange.... Other than that they are the same shotgun.... As you may know the Mossberg 500 is one of the most reliable shotguns you can buy. The Maverick 88 is there economy model.... I must confess I dont own the Maverick but own a few of the 500's and they have proven to be the most trouble free shotgun I have ever owned....  If you are on a budget I cant see any reason why the maverick 88 wouldnt be a good investment......

  4. Excellent well built, rugged, dependable, smooth action, and reasonably priced shotgun.* I would not part with mine.*
