Reviews on spirit airlines??

I am planning on going to Honduras in July, and i am having a hard time choosing an airline, for instance American Airlines is pretty expensive at this point and i was looking for going on Spirit because its alot cheaper but i was wondering if its good airline and if its safe? i need info on spirit and reviews from people that have flown on it.

Yes, it's safe. Yes, it's cheap.

But, you get what you pay for. There are extra fees for EVERYTHING - even checked bags and advance seat assignments. Budget extra for all the fees - you  even have to pay for a soft drink or a glass of water.

Spirit also has a reputation for bad service - even worse than most US airlines. I've heard stories about being unable to get help from their call centers or even not being able to get someone on the phone. That hasn't happened to me because I stopped flying them.

"Cheap" and "good" can rarely be used to describe the same thing. You usually get one or the other. Take your pick.

Spirit Air's pricing is reasonable, but their customer service is incredibly bad pay for a soft drink ( $3.00)or a bottle of water.($1.00)

Spirit Airlines is the  dilemma: the fares are comparatively inexpensive (even after the hidden charges) but you give up a significant amount of service that makes travel comfortable.

First, Waiting times for phone reservations are long, but  flight attendants are nice
