Revival of the Tetley tea folk? Yes! Campaign for their return?

I saw a current Tetley Tea ad the other day, and I couldn't get over how naff it was. I remember the tea folk ads and how amusing and sunny they were. I think tetley were dumb to get rid of them. Who thinks they should return? I do!! They were cute!!

No sarcastic remarks please.

Yup - The Tetley tea folk were cheesy but were from an era of ad creativity that seems to be gone forever - seen the current Littlewoods ad? Did they pay a sixth form college to come up with that? Its bloody awful!!! I am sure I could do better than that!

But for Brian Glover no longer being around (and it would be a very tall order to fill his boots) I think this is a great idea.

Your idea is sound, but unfortunately the 'voice' of Tetley was supplied by the late Brian Glover, and he would be nearly impossible to replace.

I'm with you on this one.  I also liked the Country Life Buttermen and the Home Pride flour graders.      :-)
