Revoking an NCAA scholarship

Question

In a Division II program, how easily can an NCAA scholarship be retracted for that academic year?

I ask because I am "signed" and on the volleyball team, but our new coach will have to make cuts. Am I guaranteed a spot on the team due to my contract? How easy would it be for our new coach to cut me?
