Rey Mysterio and Cody Rhodes to collide in ‘Falls Count Anywhere Match': WWE News
The Friday night SmackDown featured a new match named 'Falls Count Anywhere Match' for the Extreme Rules tonight. The Ultimate Underdog, Rey Mysterio and 'The Dashing' Cody Rhodes would fight this match. The fight, 'Falls Count Anywhere Match' was set up
after tonight’s brutal match between the both.
The first match took place between Mysterio and Cody in the SmackDown. Cody came out into the ring with masks made with shopping carts. Cody gave those masks to the audience to wear with the help of his assistant. The Master of 619, Mysterio appeared on
the ramp with his music. They both were ready for the fight and moments later the bell was hammered. They both tried to pin each other with punches, kicks and their trademark submissions, but no fall counted.
Mysterio flew over Cody from top of the ropes, but Cody caught him and knocked him down. Cody started working on Mysterio and hit head-butts on his face with his plastic mask. He took the masked superstar over the top ropes for dropping him down. Mysterio
recovered and pinned Cody for two counts. Mysterio rolled him and got three counts for victory.
After the match, Rhodes attacked Mysterio from behind and dropped him on the floor. Cody injured Mysterio with steel steps and also smashed his hand into the steel steps. The rivalry between both superstars started when Mysterio broke Cody’s nose on January
21, 2011 at SmackDown. Cody won the WrestleMania XXVII match against The Ultimate Underdog but was still unhappy. The following matches are scheduled as follows:
The WWE Champion, The Miz, John Cena and John Morrison will fight in a “Triple Threat Match” for WWE Championship. The retired World Heavyweight Champion, Edge, the number one contenders Alberto Del Rio and Captain Charisma Christian will play a ‘Ladder
Match’ for the World Championship.
Randy Orton and CM Punk will fight the ‘Last Man Standing Match’. Jerry Lawler along with Jim Ross will fight ‘Street Fight Match’ against Michael Cole along with Jack Swagger. The Master of 619, Mysterio, will fight against The Dashing Cody in a ‘Falls
Count Anywhere Match’.
