Reyno Navarra – a tough place for Barcelona to win
The Spanish Champions Barcelona have been in extraordinary form this season and while playing under the Spanish coach Josep Guardiola the Catalan giants have managed to become a lethal force in attacking and defending.
This week Barcelona are going to be facing Osasuna and in the recent form of Osasuna it has been seen that they have managed to make their home ground Reyno de Navarra a very tough place to visit. This year only one team has managed to win this year and
that is Camacho’s side. However, Barcelona have not lost a single game while being away from home and it is definitely going to be a hard and tricky visit to Navarra.
Teams like Sporting de Gijon, Hercules, Malaga and Real Sociedad have all been beaten by Osasuna in their home stadium and their side really takes control of the game while being at home with the help of the noisy home crowd. So far this season the Spanish
mid-table side has managed to score 11 goals in six home games and they have only conceded 2 goals so far this season.
Malaga and Hercules suffered the most this season and both of them managed to go 3 goals down. Real Sociedad managed to lose 3-1 from Osasuna and the last home game that they were playing was against Sporting and they managed to win the game 1-0.
Despite the fact that Osasuna have been very strong at home, two bottom of the table teams have managed to surprise them as visitors. Almeria and Llevant have managed to draw both their games while being in Reyno de Navarra. These two are the only sides
that have taken at least a point away from Osasuna’s home and while Almeria shared a goalless draw in the start of the season during the opening game it was Llevent that drew 1-1 in the sixth week.
One thing that separates Osasuna from other Spanish sides is the fact that they are not relying on one goal scorer. With Barcelona relying a little too much on Lionel Messi in terms of goal scoring, Osasuna do not need anyone’s help as they believe totally
in team play.
12 of the goals that the Spaniards have scored so far this season have managed to come from eight different players; Aranda, Masoud, Pandiani and Nekounam have managed to score twice while the other four; Camunas, Lolo, Monreal and Vadocz have scored the
rest of the goals for the Catalan side.
