Rhagori expected to dominate Addlestones Fillies´ Handicap
Rhagori is expected to dominate proceedings in the Addlestones Fillies´ Handicap at Bath in England on Friday, August 3, 2012. A victory in the class-4 event will earn her a cash prize of £4,852 in the end.
The weather has remained good for racing over the past few days, thus the going will be firm in the race. There was some rain overnight, but it did not change the conditions at all, which is good news for all participants.
A total of seven runners have been attracted towards the 1 mile 5 yard event, which is scheduled to start at 18:00 GMT. The stamina of all participants will be put to a test at the end of the day.
Looking at the overall statistics of Rhagori, it appears that she has an edge over her rivals at Bath today. Her performances in recent times have been good, thus the bookmakers have given her a starting price of 6 to 4. It will be a difficult thing for
the punters to risk their money on anyone else other than the favourite runner.
The three-year-old filly has participated in five races until now, but her strike rate is not on the positive side. Despite that, she has mostly been competitive and has only dropped out of the top three once in her career.
Exceed And Excel’s daughter has managed to win once whereas finished third on the same number of times. Moreover, she has also secured the runner up spot on a couple of times, which clearly shows her competitiveness.
Rhagori debuted in September 2011 and caught the attention of everyone with a solid run, capturing third place. She was up against some quality runners back then, but did a decent job in the end.
However, the Ralph Beckett’s trainee was unable to meet the expectations of the bookies in her next race, where she was rated as the favourite to win. Her performance was not bad at all and she finished runner up overall. She followed that up with a solid
victory to end the 2011 season on a high.
In 2012, the favourite filly took part in a couple of events and finished runner up in the most recent one. She is in good form right now and will be a tough nut to crack under Richard Kingscote.
