Rhagori to sustain form for the Alan Boon Remembrance Handicap
The three-year-old bay filly, Rhagori, has earned herself widespread preference for the Class 4 Alan Boon Remembrance Handicap. Her success at the Bath race course through the last outing has got her the support of 4 to 1 odds for dominating the race today. Fifteen three-year-old runners will race through the mile, two furlong and seven yard race on Friday, 31st August at Sandown. The prize money set for the race is £4,528.
Exceed And Excel’s three-year-old bay filly has raced just thrice during the new season and has improved drastically through the outings. Today she will race her track debut at Sandown.
The three-year-old cracked into the season on 19th May, 2012 at Newbury over seven furlongs in the Get Your Bet On At Blue Square Fillies’ Handicap. The race was won by, Emman Bee, who had jockey, Fergus Sweeney, onboard and they raced past Dare To Dream by a neck’s margin.
The Ralph Beckett trained ended fourth in the field of seventeen while riding with jockey, Jim Crowley.
The P. T. Tellwright bred was entered as the favourite in her very next outing of the season. From finishing fourth, she strode on to the runner-up’s honour in the Betfred Mobile Fillies’ Handicap on 30th June, 2012 at Windsor over a mile and half a furlong.
Rhagori missed the race by the slight margin of a neck. She did not break into a high pace right after racing out from the eighth gate, rather came at the horizon two furlongs out. Covering further ground, she changed lines to the left with the final furlong approaching. She did put in all the possible effort but missed the race by a negligible margin.
The filly was soon followed by, Choral Festival.
The Landmark Racing Limited owned out of, Cresta Gold, won the Addlestones Fillies’ Handicap on 3rd August, 2012 at the Bath race course over a mile. Entered as the favourite, she won the race by the margin of just half a length while riding with the jockey, Richard Kingscote.
The bay filly will be paired up with rider, James Doyle, and the two will take on the challenge from the second gate.
