The French outfit has decided to give up their pursuit of the Portuguese star due to his wage demands. The former Besiktas JK player is seeking a €3 million salary per year, proving too much for the Rhone giants

to the winger’s exorbitant wage demands, Marseille finds it difficult to continue their hunt of the Portuguese international.
The French club’s interest in the Lisbon-born player escalated following speculations linking http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 international, Loic Remy to English Premier League side, Newcastle United in the January transfer window. options, as they’re on the outlook to find a suitable replacement for the Frenchman.
However, due to the 29-year-old’s excessive wage demands, the Marseille-based clubs is afraid to admit that they would have to give up their pursuit for the talented winger. Quaresma is expecting a salary of €3 million annually from the interested parties.
The striker’s demanded salary is far beyond the reach of the Ligue 1 side, and could eventually put an end to the club’s bid to sign him.
Although the player’s demands may seem overpriced, they aren’t bizarre at all. The former FC Porto player was being paid €3.75 million per year while playing for Besiktas, which eventually proved to be one the reasons that led to conflict between the club
and the player.
