Ricardo Sanchez the new coach for World No.1, Caroline Wozniacki – Tennis News
World number one, Caroline Wozniacki, has hired a new coach Ricardo Sanchez that will spare her father Piotr from his coaching duties. She wanted this to happen around two months ago because she didn’t wanted her father to coach
her anymore as she needed to groom herself with new defensive and attacking shots and her father was not fully equipped with all those coaching skills.
After an intense struggle for the search of the new coach, she finally placed her finger on the Spanish coach, Sanchez. She will be working with him during practice sessions before the start of the new season to master some new
skills that will surprise her opponents and win her more titles especially the Grand Slam title.
Wozniacki was convoyed by her father in all the tournaments even after their decision of separation just to make sure that she was all fired up for every title battle. The news about her new coach Sanchez was broke by the local
Danish newspaper last week.
While talking to the media representatives of local Danish newspaper, Ekstra Bladet, she said. “Richi [Ricardo Sanchez] will be in charge of practical matters. He is good at doing those things which need to be done during training.
He has many years' experience coaching different players; he is a very positive person."
Danish tennis ace is the world number one at the moment but she has not been able to clinch any Grand Slam title in her entire career. It is an astonishing fact but it is true; she is looking to grasp the Grand Slam crown in 2012
and for that she needs to expert herself in all fields of the game especially her backhand shots that lack some sort of accuracy and force her to lose crucial points at vital stages of the match. She thinks her new coach will help her groom into that department
of the game and nurture her tennis skills to make her a strong competitor for anyone at the Grand Slam arena.
Australian Open 2012 is her first chance to win her maiden Grand Slam title and she still has some time left in which she can prepare herself with Sanchez at the practice courts to make sure she doesn’t let go this opportunity
in January, next year.
Sanchez is expected to raise Wozniacki’s game to the next level, help her win a lot more titles next year and especially assist her in sustaining that world number one spot.
