The Italian international has gone on to give his opinion on the performance of the Spanish outfit at the San Siro in the midweek Champions League group stage clash.
The Rossoneri outfit went into the game against the Pellegrini’s men on the back of a resounding victory against the Verona outfit, Chievo, on the 11th match day of the Serie A. The San Siro outfit salvaged some pride for their campaign in their
domestic league, as they trounced Chievo by a score line of 5-1. Furthermore, this has put the club in a slightly respectable in the domestic standings, and even though it is unacceptable for the Rossoneri outfit to find themselves in the tenth position of
the table after 11 matches in the Lega; they are still in a better position than before.
They have accumulated 14 points from their endeavours, and compared to the holding Champions of the Serie A, they have managed to attain half the points that Juventus have been able to do in their set of 11 matches in the Serie A.
The mood in the San Siro camp was made better with the resounding victory over the Serie A outfit and they were able to prepare their Champions League encounter with a bit more optimism than before. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Riccardo-Montolivo-c31049, the Euro 2012 finalist, has gone on
to reflect on the match against the Spaniards and analysed the manner in which Malaga attacked in the match.
He went on to comment:
“Malaga caused us problems and that is their style, but compared to the first game we took the initiative and dominated with a series of chances. Unfortunately we conceded against the run of play with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Eliseu-c12315 finding that gap. It’s a shame, as we had been
doing well. Their players moved between the lines and that caused us problems. The Coach told us to be wary of that movement and then set off, so in midfield we had to be more careful than against Chievo.”
Pellegrini has guided his side from the group stages of the Champions League to the round of 16 and would be looking to keep up the impressive form they are currently in.
