  1. boil some organic rice in water and soy milk, then drain it and let it cool, put it in the fridge and drink up! You can add some organinc cane juice to make it sweeter, also adding vanila is good

  2. I am a former chef and now a lacto-ovo vegetarian but I do like rice milk better than soya for drinks and cereals, I make mine like the Mexican drink known as "Horchata".

I buy short grained rice, I run 2 pounds of it through my food processor to break it up not make flour, add then I buy sweet rice flour from the Asia store and add 2 cups, to this I boil 1 1/2 gallons of water, I use cane extract instead of sugar, it is unrefined and the issues with animal by-product is not a factor, I add 2 cups once the water and CEx is boiled,  I add the rice and flour stirring as I rain it in and simmer on low for 30 minutes stirring occasionally. You can add cinnamon sticks or other flavour, I add just a titch of vanilla and a 1/2 teaspoon of sea salt, this balances out the sweetness and it is light on sugar anyways.

Cool it down, strain out the rice/flour mixture, or keep it and add some vanilla soya milk and make a rice pudding like dessert, it is like veg residue from a juicer, there are always use for it, this will keep for 2 weeks in the frig, I buy those plastic juice jugs from the Dollar places to store mine in, and I have noticed the difference, as I am also a diabetic and my weight has really come down since using this, the only dairy I use is yougart, some times canned milk for cooking and egg whites for my diet.
