Rice crispy bars??

does anyone remember those cripsy rice bars??...they were in a pink wrapper with green writing..where can i get some in perth??

-butter

-rice crispy cereal

-marshmellow

melt the butter and mashmellow in a pot, (med)

then in a bowl pur in rice crispy cereal and then spread it in a large rectangular pan

How about you make your own?

Ingredients

3 tablespoons margarine or butter

1 (10 oz.) package regular marshmallows

- or -

4 cups mini marshmallows

6 cups Rice Krispies®

Directions

1. Melt margarine in large saucepan over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat.

2. Add KELLOGG'S RICE KRISPIES cereal. Stir until well coated.

3. Using buttered spatula or waxed paper, press mixture evenly into 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan coated with cooking spray. Cut into 2-inch squares when cool. Best if served the same day.

MICROWAVE DIRECTIONS:

In a large microwave safe bowl, heat margarine and marshmallows at HIGH for 3 minutes, stirring after 2 minutes. Stir until smooth. Follow steps 2 and 3 above.

Healthy Option....saw this on TV and looked wonderful !

1/2 cup honey

1/2 cup natural chunky-style peanut butter

6 cups crispy brown rice cereal

2/3 cup chopped dried cherries (3 ounces)

Cooking spray

Combine honey and peanut butter in a large pot and heat over medium-low heat until melted, about 2-3 minutes. Add brown rice cereal and cherries and stir to combine until mixture is sticky. Press into a 9 by 13-inch pan sprayed with cooking spray. Let cool, then chill in refrigerator for 30 minutes. Cut into 15 (2 1/2 by 3-inch) squares.
