Rice pudding came out SOUPY!!!?

I made a bunch of rice pudding and it is soupy!! HELP!! WHAT DID I DO WRONG??? The milk just sits there like warm milk on top of rice!!! IT'S NOT RICE PUDDING IT'S RICE SOUP!!! Help, how do I fix this????!?!?!

  1. usually i add extra egg yolks - one more then recipe says - helps it bind better

    i s***w it up often -but it should taste good

    only fix is to scoop excess liquid out, maybe add more cooked rice if you that desprite to fix the batch


  2. Too much milk and make sure you cook the rice long enough.

  3. Put it in the oven at 350 for about 15-30 mins but check it often. Next time use more rice.  I found that if I cook the rice first, don't rinse, add 2 cups of milk to 1 cup of rice it usually will get thick right in the pan if you let it, but use the oven, somehow it's better.  If it ever comes out too thick, just put a serving in a dish and add milk and microwave for 30 secs....stir....no probs.
