Rice pudding disaster lol?

ok so i totally went by the book

i made the rice with sugar and milk...looked good

then i was supposed to add the simmered dried cranberries in orange juice

as soon as i mixed the two together the milk went watery and separated and now it looks like yayks..

what the heck went wrong...arrggg...idid exaxtly how it said

Did you add any egg???  Try tempering in two eggs and go from there.  To temper eggs:  crack the eggs into a small bowl, lightly beat them with a fork to break them up.  Add a small spoon of the rice pudding into the eggs, stir, add more of the pudding, stir, and then pour the whole thing back into the pudding and stir.

    You don't have to temper the eggs unless the pudding is still hot or warm.  If you don't temper, you'll get scrambled eggs in the rice pudding :)  Good luck!

  3. did u cook the rice before in water? the only thing i can think of is the orange juice and milk maybe not mixing well together... did u drain it off the cranberries?

    a good way to make rice pudding is...

    cook the rice

    a box of instant vanilla pudding

    and whipped topping

    mix these together

    add some brown sugar if you want it a little sweeter
