Richard Cregan: 70 percent tickets of 2011 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix have been sold – Formula 1 news
The Chief Executive Officer of the Formula 1 Yas Marina Circuit, Richard Cregan has recently informed the media that 70 percent tickets of the 2011 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix have been sold.
He added that they are hopeful the remaining 30 percent of tickets will be sold very soon, as their customers are very excited for the season’s race, which will take place at the Yas Marina Circuit.
He told the media that preparations of the Abu Dhabi race are in the final stages. In addition, he mentioned that they are confident the viewers and fans will enjoy one of the most entertaining experiences in the world this time in Abu Dhabi.
Cregan stated, “We are pleased with the way ticket sales are tracking and it is shaping up to be another great event. We are confident our customers will enjoy one of the most exciting sporting and entertainment experiences in the world.”
He went on to mention, “The excitement continues throughout the day and night. Rather than it being just a race, we pride ourselves in providing something more like a carnival weekend. Whilst there are still 30% of tickets left, the choice of ticket is becoming
sparse. We would encourage anyone interested to tie up their booking now to avoid disappointment.”
In the 2010 season, the Abu Dhabi GP was the last round, where the current world champion Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel won the first championship in his F1 career.
Vettel had a tough time during the 2010 Abu Dhabi race, as he finished his race at the top place after a close fight with McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton in the ending laps.
The 2011 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix is scheduled to be held on November 13, 2011 at the Yas Marina Circuit.
All Formula 1 teams are very aggressive at the moment, as the last eight rounds of the 2011 season are left to be competed. After 11 races of the current season, Vettel is leading the 2011 championship by a huge margin.
Let’s see who manages to win the 2011 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix this time around.
