With his invincible efforts, Funk remained half body length faster from his following swimmer and made his way to the finishing end for the title of the event with the timing of 1 minute and 01.42 seconds.
The gold medallist was followed by Warren Barnes of TSC, who stayed 0.76 seconds slower from his foregoing finisher and proved his mettle for silver medal of the discipline by clocking a time of 1 minute and 02.18 seconds.
Barnes was chased by Jason Block of UCSC, who stayed 0.14 seconds apart and completed the podium by winning bronze medal of the discipline with an effort of 1 minute and 02.32 seconds.
Fourth position of the discipline was secured by Andrew Poznikoff of Simon Fraser Aquatics, who stayed 0.39 seconds away from the third position holder and clocked a time of 1 minute and 02.71 seconds.
Poznikoff was trailed by Chris Tobin of UCSC, who stayed almost half a second behind and snared fifth position of the discipline by ending his race in a time of 1 minute and 03.25 seconds.
Tobin was chased by Jonathan Naisby of SHER, who stayed 0.39 seconds away from his foregoing finisher and ended sixth in the discipline by producing a time of 1 minute and 03.64 seconds.
