The Dutch trainer is confident of claiming a good result against FC Groningen on Eredivisie match-day 32 due to his side’s consistent performances in the past few weeks.
De Graafschap head coach, Richard Roelofsen, has expressed confidence about claiming a good result in their upcoming Eredivisie encounter against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Groningen-c39119. The two sides will go head-to-head at Euroborg Stadion on Friday, April 27.
The 42-year-old tactician, who took over the managerial hot seat at De Vijverberg Stadion from Andries Ulderink earlier this year, has admitted that his side has been performing consistently for the past few weeks.
However, he has asserted that his side has been unfortunate in bagging only three points from the last three league matches.
“I guess everyone can see that we are performing better as a unit in our recent matches as compared to our performances earlier this year”, Roelofsen was quoted as saying to De Telegraaf.nl.
The Super Farmers were unfortunate to receive a demoralising 3-2 defeat at the hand of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Heracles-Almelo-c39520 on April 21. The Dutch trainer has insisted that his side staged an impressive show at home and created plenty of goalscoring opportunities.
“We are very positive after playing a good game against Heracles last week. We created plenty of goalscoring opportunities against a good, solid opposition. Although we failed to bag even a point, it was a good performance that has given us a lot of confidence”,
Roelofsen concluded.
Occupying the 17th spot on the league table, the Super Farmers are just a single point ahead of the automatic relegation spot. With three matches left to play for before the end of the ongoing 2011/12 campaign, they would be keen to finish ahead
of the last placed SBV Excelsior.
On the other hand, FC Groningen are currently placed 13th in the league standings, nine points behind the last UEFA Europa League play-offs spot. They would be keen to bag maximum points against the relegation threatened side and keep their hopes
alive of finishing in the top-half of the table.
