City went on to end a forty four year old league trophy drought, as the team went on to lift the Premier League trophy on the last day of the season.
The team went on to win the title in the last few minutes of the season and in doing so, prevented Manchester United from winning it.

Richards has admitted that the coming season won’t be a walk in the park and feels that the team needs to try and push through in order to try and come out on top once again.
When talking about the upcoming season, the full back is quoted to have said: "I don't think it's going to be easy"

Richards is currently practicing with the Great Britain team, as he looks to step up and help the GB team win the Olympics.
The defender was quite disappointed after he wasn’t selected for the Euro 2012, but he is looking to make up for that by putting on some breathtaking displaying in the London Olympics.
In order for City to end up winning the title again, they need to get every single player to operate on a maximum, in order for them stand any chance of competing with the other teams in the league, which are slowly but surely improving with time.
