Former West Indian captain Richie http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Richardson-c85395 believes that players need to be flexible according to the situation and requirements of the game in order to be successful at the highest level.
According to the legendary batsman, even Test cricket requires a player to be flexible otherwise the chances to succeed become slim.
Talking to Gulf News, Richardson stated, “All good batsmen have to be flexible. If you are one dimensional, people will work you out. So if you are playing a Test match and your team needs quick runs and if you cannot score quickly then you are bound to
create some problems.”
He further added, “I like players who can adjust and adapt to various conditions and situations of the game. Remember everyone is playing for the team and if your team needs you to make some adjustments you must be able to do it.”
Richardson is currently the part of the West Indian management and aims to develop a strong team for the future. He will certainly be pleased with some of the youngsters in the side, who have shown flexibility in their approach towards international cricket.
