Rick Nash getting settled at New York Rangers, thanks to Vinny Prospal
Few days after a mega and much awaited move, Rick Nash is now getting settled at New York Rangers, his new team, thanks to some chatting and texting with his friend Vinny Prospal who is also a former New York Rangers player but now a Columbus Blue Jackets
player.
According to Nash, it is Vinny Prospal who talks a lot about his former team New York Rangers when they were together at Columbus Blue Jackets and he helped him make his mind about the move to New York based side. He also told that Prospal talked a lot of
good about the organisation and the coach John Tortorella as Prospal told him that it was one of his best experiences to play for New York Rangers and their coach is very tough guy, a very demanding guy and has all the good qualities that a coach should have.
Former Columbus Blue Jackets captain said,
"Vinny just texted me about an hour ago. We talked when we were training together and he loved it here. He said it was one of the best parts of his career. He loves Torts. From my understanding, he's very demanding and a tough guy to play for and really
preaches hard work, and that's what you expect from a coach”.
Rick Nash was on the radar of New York Rangers for last five months and there was a lot speculation going on about his move to the Rangers side but it could not get done before the transfer agency got closed in February and they had to wait few more months
for it before it finally got done now.
28-year-old left winger also said that he was disappointed when his deal was not completed in February but he was captain of the Blue Jackets side so he had to professional and deal with the situation. But he was hopeful that deal could get done now and
he would get where he wanted to be as he said,
"I always wanted to get it done, but get it done in the right way. I wanted to play somewhere where I wanted to be and this was my No. 1 priority, to be here”.
