It is indeed Rickson Gracie.  Why he's credited as an **Aikido** instructor, I have absolutely no idea.

I'm not positive, but when i saw it i was positive it was him. he does a breathing exercise that he shows bruce banner that is identical to something he does in his documentary CHOKE.

i think i was the only person in the theatre as well who knew who he was...

he is credited as an aikido instructor because in the scene he is teaching him aikido...momentum using throws and redirecting energy...and the breathing excercise...which i agree with the other guy if you take it into context it is an important part he plays...

Yup!  It was Rickson all right.  Without spoiling too much, there is a good portion of the movie in Brazil, and his role doesn't seem pointless at all.  Even though it was a short scene, he trained Dr. Banner for something that carries on throughout the movie. Beyond a little self-defense, Bruce is also taught breathing exercises to slow his heart beat.

Sure, it's the movies, but Rickson still looks the same way he did over a decade ago.
