The Argentine international disappointed with his debut campaign at San Siro; vows to make a strong return after recovering from injury.
Inter Milan midfielder, Ricky Alvarez, has assured the Nerazzurri fans that he will return fitter and stronger in the next season.
Alvarez joined Inter Milan from Argentine side, Velez Sarsfield, for approximately 11.75 million Euros. However, the attacking-midfielder has struggled to establish himself as a first-team starter, and has found first-team opportunities
hard to come by at San Siro.
The 24-year-old picked up a serious knee injury in the early days of his Nerazzurri career, and has spent majority of the campaign on the sidelines. Alvarez made a return to the starting line-up in a recent 2-1 league win over
Siena.
The midfielder is delighted to return to the first-team, and insisted that he is hoping to remain injury free for the remainder of the season. The Argentine is happy to see the Nerazzurri bagging a few victories of late, and is
hoping to end the season on a high.
While talking to Inter Channel, Alvarez said:
“My father congratulated me because, returning after my injury, I played more than I could have imagined, in terms of both the quantity of minutes as well as in the quality of play. Surely I can give and do more, but, being the
first time after a long time, it went well. I feel good at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567, just as I did as soon as I arrived. This injury had me on the shelf for a while, and now I have to get as fit as I can and keep working hard.”
“The team, as last night's match showed, is now doing a bit better. With the results coming our way again the team is more lively."
Inter Milan have had an abysmal campaign, which has seen two managers getting sacked this season. Alvarez understands the jeers from the Beneamata fans, but he has urged them to support the team in the bad times.
The Nerazzurri are placed seventh in the league table after picking up 48 points from 32 games played so far.
