Ricky Ponting- I am feeling better than before
Australian Captain, Ricky Ponting, has said that he is feeling better than before.
Ponting was the captain of the Australian side when http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 had to face the ultimate humiliation of The Ashes series loss at home. His problems were not limited to The Ashes loss and they got worse when Ponting broke his finger during the third Test match
of the series.
Ponting played the Melbourne Test with a fractured finger but he was not fortunate enough to play the Sydney Test. The finger injury was quite serious for Ponting and he had to undergo surgery.
The ICC World Cup is just around the corner and Ponting is one individual, who realizes his importance for the Australian team, in the ultimate fifty over tournament.
On Tuesday, Ponting completed his first batting session after one month and felt pretty pleased to have gone through the practice session.
Ricky Ponting was of the view that that he feels better after the batting practice session. The session is a necessity for all the batsmen and they must go through the required practice routines to prepare for the upcoming ICC World Cup.
The batting session was necessary for Ponting to gauge his recovery after the injury. The Australian skipper further said that he started his batting session with plastic balls to get the feel of his bat back in his hands again.
 Ponting also admitted the fact that he felt some discomfort during the batting session. The one-down batsman would play a crucial role for Australia during the World Cup and it would be a challenging task for him to lead the Australian side in tough conditions
abroad.
Australia is the defending champion and for Ricky Ponting this will probably be his last World Cup.
