"England's bowling attack is the best in the world and they deserve to be ranked the best side in the world. I've been watching some of the England versus India Test series on TV and there's no doubt their bowling group is very, very good," Ponting said.
The “Punter” was one of the unfortunate captains in the history of Australian Cricket to lose back to back Ashes, and consequently his team came under criticism regarding their performance in the recently concluded World Cup 2011 campaign, where his side
failed to defend their crown.
Recalling the Ashes experience, he said,"As we witnessed first-hand last year, England's bowlers are going very well."
He is now no more the captain of the Kangaroos, a role which is taken by http://www.senore.com/Cricket/MJ-Clarke-c1978. However, the player has rejuvenated his career recently with some good performances against a formidable Sri Lankan team.
The 36-year-old made commendable half –centuries in the two matches played so far. In his first outing, he scored 53, while in the second One-Dayer, the Punter made an unbeaten 90, to guide his side to an easy win.

Ponting remains one of the successful captains in Australian Test History, having led the Australians to the top of World Cricket in every format of the game.
In 152 Test matches, the player has notched up over 12000 runs, averaging an impressive 53.51. It includes 39 centuries and 56 scoress of more than fifty.
A man of dignity, he knows the importance of the longer format of the game, which he and his team have ruled for a best part of 10 years. However, with the retirement of some key players, the Aussie domination came to an end, with http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 coming to the fold.
The 20-month Indian reign ended at Edgbaston, at the hands of a ruthless England, which certainly looks strong to keep a stranglehold at the top, for many years to come.
