Ricky Ponting not happy with the performance of his bowlers – Cricket News Update
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/RT-Ponting-c2377, the Mumbai Indians’ skipper, is disappointed with his side’s performance in their opening match of the sixth season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and hopes that his team will turn the tables
in the upcoming encounters.
The former Australian captain, who is playing for Mumbai for the first time, won the toss and opted to bowl first on a track, which was assisting the seamers in the beginning. Apart from http://www.senore.com/Cricket/CH-Gayle-c1221, none of the RCB batsman was able to make a huge impression
on the game.
The destructive left-hander from Caribbean, however, played out of his skin and helped his team post a competitive total of 156 runs on the board for the loss of five wickets. Gayle remained unbeaten on 92 off 58 balls, in which he struck 11 fours and five
sixes.

The former Australian skipper is not happy with the showing of his bowlers and hopes that they will improve as the tournament goes on. However, he is impressed by the performance of the debutant Jaspreet Bumrah, who picked up three crucial wickets.
“I may lose most of my finger nails. Disappointing not to have won the game. We have to analyse our game. I think with our bowing today we were a bit behind. We had a good chat about Jaspreet and he didn't let anyone down,” Ponting
expressed.
The RCB captain, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/V-Kohli-c2737 was all praise for Gayle and said, “Chris batted beautifully. We knew 157 was enough, The dew came on. They way they fielded was good. The way Unadkat bowled that over towards the end was good.”
Gayle, who was named as the Player of the Match, defended his defensive approach in the initial overs during the post-match presentation ceremony and claimed that the track was assisting the fast bowlers.
“I might come out swinging early in another game. I needed to stay there. The ball was seaming around,” said the Caribbean batsman.
