Ridding computer virus?

I have a computer virus where everytime I log on I get pop-up screens and it's driving me nuts! What are some of the better (willing to pay!) virus downloads that can eradicate and protect against this?

I would Start with Avira AntiVir free anti-virus., detects about 94% of known viruses, with quick scan times., and superantispyware free edition., its great at finding trojans and other c**p the the others miss., So why pay.,

Some programs are good at removing virus infections while others may be meant for spyware infections.  There is no one perfect product out there but you should have two things to protect you.

1. Good antivirus protection like NOD32.

2. Good spyware protection like Spysweeper.

Those two things will help keep you virus/spyware free if you or other users on your PC do not click on infected attachments, use limewire or visit bad websites.  Now with your current infection, it is even harder for a program to remove infections, they are designed to prevent not clean up.  You will need to find out what infection(s) you have and find a program that might remove that particular infection.

Then search for programs that are reported to fix your particular infection(s).

Get Malwarebytes' free program at this link.

When you get there, scroll down the page until you see"Tools Needed for this fix:"

Then click the "Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware" link to download the software.

Install and update the program.

Reboot into "Safe Mode".

Then run the scanner and remove anything it finds.

It works for me.
