You are in a room with 2 doors and 2 judges. Walk out of one door and you will be allowed to live. Walk out the other, and you must die. One judge always lies. One judge always tells the truth.

If you could ask one judge one question, what would the question be to get out of the room safely??

  1. i would either ask:

    Do you lie?

    or

    Will your door kill me?

    or

Which way will I not die?

  2. It does not matter which judge you ask

    Ask one of them.

"Which door would the other judge tell me to take?"

And go out the opposite door.

Because the dishonest judge would want you to go through the door that kills you...and the honest judge would want you to go through the door that save your life.

  3. sounds confusing, I wanna clarify: ask the liar: which way the other door(not his) leads, if he says death, go there!

  4. Ask either one, "What would the other one say, which way to go," and go the other way...!

  5. I would just go through either door dragging both judges with me, that way they'd both tell me the truth before we went through the door.

  6. Ive heard this one before.
