1. On a fine sunny day a ship was in the harbor. All of a sudden the ship began to sink. There was no storm and nothing wrong with the ship yet it sank right in front of the spectators eyes.

What caused the ship to sink?

2. At the beach. A bell rings, a woman dies. What happened?

3. There are a few trees in a garden. On one of them, a pear tree, there are pears (quite logical). But after a strong wind blew, there were neither pears on the tree nor on the ground. How come?

4. What is the largest possible number you can write using only 2 numbers - just 2 numbers, no other mathematical symbols?

5. The rungs of a 10 foot ladder attached to a ship are 1 foot apart. If the water is rising at the rate of one foot an hour how long will it take until the water covers over the ladder?

First person to get them all will get best answer.

No hints.
