Rider offsetting penalty, Pete The Feat having great chance in Lingfield Festive Breaks Handicap Chase
Bidding for a four-timer, Pete The Feat is all set to crush his opponents in Lingfield Festive Breaks Handicap Chase, being hosted by Lingfield on Tuesday, November 27, 2012. The 8-year-old has been upped for his latest success, but rider Charlie Longsdon
is offsetting the penalty.
The in-form runner is in great momentum, and deserves the highest respect. The form he is showing these days makes him the most solid option in today’s big contest. The Charlie Longsdon-trained started producing positive results at the start of October,
when he returned from a long vacation.
After cruising to an easy 4-length triumph in the Draincare Handicap Chase (For the Queen's Royal Lancers Challenge Cup) at Uttoxeter, the son of King´s Theatre carried forward his fabulous work, clinching a handsome 12-length triumph at Plumpton.
After tasting two straight wins, the bay gelding went to Folkestone in search of another success. He succeeded in a great fashion, and took the honours by seven lengths in the Toteswinger Handicap Chase. Having completed the first hat-trick of his career,
the Michael O'Keeffe-bred is currently brimming with confidence.
If he continues in the same fashion, it will be a comfortable triumph for him. Owned by G. J. Larby & P. J. Smith, the in-form gelding is up against only four rivals. On heavy three miles, the participants will be in pursuit of a prize of £3,054. As per
the plan, the meeting is due to get started at 15:00 GMT.
Appreciating the return to a left-handed track, Pensnett Bay should run well. The 7-year-old ran superbly on his reappearance, and looks the likeliest to throw it down to the favourite.
Well Refreshed also has a role to play in today’s contest, which is really competitive despite a small field. Gary Moore’s charge was a comfortable winner from this mark last time, but this is certainly way stronger.
The Black Baron, the maiden chase winner, is enjoying no more than a fair mark on seasonal comeback. Sapphire Rouge does not have an impressive track record. So, the punters can easily rule her out of the calculations. Good luck to all the runners.
