Riding Helmet Sizing?

I'm not sure how to mesure my head for a helmet. there is like these sizes 6 5/8-7 1/2 but i'm not sure what they mean. Can you please explain? Thanks!

  1. I would go to the store and see if you can try on any of the helmets. Otherwise I don't know.


  2. I'm pretty sure that it is inches around your head. Go to a tack store and see if there is someone who can fit you

  3. Those are hat sizes. They are related to the circumference of your head. You can measure around the part of your head where the helmet will sit and convert that measurement in inches to hat size using a hat size chart. If you are looking in a tack catalog, there should be a hat size chart in there, but it might be in an obscure corner. Try googling hat size charts.  

  4. if your going to a tack store to buy it then you should go and ask them how to fit one. but if your ordering it then you should call the company and ask them!!!
