Riding a Vespa (scooter) in toronto?

Im thinking of buying a vespa, how fast do they go and for riding in Toronto in the winter time is that plausible? Any oppinions from riders and non riders alike are appreciated.

  1. They are expensive and  yes people ride all year round. you would need some  electric cold  weather gear, a windshield. the front of the scooter offers a wind break. and parking inside is important


  2. vespas are really expensive arond 6000

    you could get cheaper one from BMS motors and if you wanted to go onto the freeway you would need a 250 or higher and a motorcycle license

    but if your just traveling around the city you would ay least want a 150 and you dont need a motorcycle lincense for hat

  3. get a cruiser since you are looking for speed....

  4. It really depends on what size vespa you get... their 50cc models have a top speed between 35 and 40mph, the 150cc's have a top speed of around 55-60mph and the 250cc's get around 70mph.

  5. if you're looking for speed.... you're looking at the wrong type of bike....
