Riding bike adjustment?

ive started to ride my bike to work, its 1.5 miles. im not completely in/out of shape. but after my first ride, my butt hurt and legs tired. how long will it take to adjust. and how often should i ride until i adjust?

  1. You are out of shape or doing something wrong if you butt hurts after a 1.5 mile ride.  What are you riding ?

    No disrespect  but you but hurts after a 1.5 mile ride,I think walking would be you next choice.


  2. Running or walking uses your daily muscles, when you cycle you use completely different muscles. Its something you have to build. If your butt hurts i suggest you wear bicycles pants, they have padding.  

  3. Keep riding everyday. Make sure your saddle is adjusted properly.
