  1. everyone does it differently. i suggest watching videos on paul roach or any DK video and check out different styles. the basic one is to as your laying on ur board dont know if youd goofy/reg., u'll figure that one out,  but use ur elbows to prop u up as u pull ur board in towards u with ur butt in the air and slide in ur back knee, and make sure that ur knee is on the rail or u'll slide out, then swing around ur other leg and place ur foot with the outter part of ur fin close to the rail below ur leash plug (but not directly under it) so ur pretty much in like a kneel stance like baseball players do. and the leg that is laying down, ur knee to ankle are on the board while ur fin hangs off of ur tail. if u do lunges, basically thats the postion if u were to hold it. hope this helps. good luck. (p.s) please as a note to self dont do the double knee pop up. its when u look like a knee boarder on two knees then place ur lead foot. not kool. haha.

  2. if you are using fins it is alot easier to just use one fin

as your dropping in on the wave get on both knees and when you get controll flop the other foot on the board   as your doing this use your hand to hold the board steady

you may also need a bigger board to go dk

  3. JUST AS YOUR CATCHING THE WAVE, jump to your outside knee, and be sure you tuck your other leg onto the board, so your foot is not dragging in the water
