Riding horses in snow?

my pasture has about a foot deep of snow, is it ok to ride?

  1. Maybe a little, but not much.

You dont want to ride if there is a possibility of dips or holes in the ground.  It can cause serious injury to your horse if he steps in a hole he cant see cause its covered in snow.  Make sure there is no ice and dont jump him.  And most importantly, make sure you cool him down after the ride!!!

  3. I ride in deep snow all the time, its not bad for them, but be precautious, like others have mentioned if there are holes in the ground you have to watch out, but my horses are not shod and are fine in it.
