  1. It will be awesome.

Much better than flying in a commercial airliner. You have less separating you and the sky, so it feels much more like flying than on a commercial airliner which basically makes you feels like a sardine on a truck.

takeoff roll, rollout won't be as smooth as a larger airplane most of the time but it still safe and great!

Might get a little bumpy but nothing bad.

My first time was with a buddy of my dad's in a 152. AWESOMENESS sums it up.

yes, do bring a barf bag just in case. There won't be any aerobatics but just in case.

I'm a pilot of a 172 and I take up cadets occasionally and I do hate when they barf in my plane! (never have but some have turned green before)

  2. It's kinda like flying a kite from the inside.

  3. My first ride was in a Cessna 152. The ride was a little bumpy and the controls were more sensitive than I thought they would be but it was a good ride. Would have been better if the instructor didn't hit the snowbank at the end of the runway on approach. That was a heavy duty TIDE day for both of us. The aircraft was not damaged but one tire deflated overnite.

  4. Cessna great fun esp 172aerobat. feels a bit weird at first, you feel like you will fall through the floor. i been in a piper cub and it was bumpy. acceleration is the best bit at takeoff. and also very noisy. still i got some great photos.

  5. It is gonna be so much fun.  Can be bumpy on windy days though

  6. Being a pilot, there is no such thing as a 172 Aerobat.  The Aerobat is a 2 seat plane, the 172 is much larger and seats 4, however both are made by Cessna, but  2 completely different aircraft.  My first flight was over 25 years ago and I loved it enough to get my license.  If your flying on a patrol you won't be doing any aerobatics so you should expect a smooth flight.  The view will be great as flying patrol you will be close enough to the ground to see lots of detail.  Bring a leak proof bag in case your stomach does not approve of flying, and keep it handy at all times.  Pilots HATE cleaning puke out of their planes.  Have fun.
