  1. If your board is directional with a setback, CENTER IT. Move the front binding further away so the length from end to binding is the same on both sides.

It helps to have a Twin shaped board, but you would have to buy a whole nother board if its directional.

    Stance angles!

turn your other binding a little towards the outside, so both your feet point out wards. This is called Duck stance.

You can also just change your whole board setup from reg to goofy or goofy to regular for awhile to get use to riding the other way.

If you carry a backpack, Try to keep it light or dont bring it at all so it is easier to learn.

  2. It takes practice.. I suggest going on a few green runs and  focusing on slowly shifting your body to turn switch, as balance is the key to easy transitions. Your center of gravity should be centered, so don't bend too much. Try more of a standing stance and  keep your board flat ( no edge) so that you don't catch and fall.

  3. I'm in the exact same situation as you. The last couple of times I've ridden, I've been doing it ENTIRELY switch. It's annoying going back to the times of struggling to link turns, but it's the only way :P
