Right arm at the top of the backswing in golf?

What happens to a typical ball flight if the right arm does not maintain a right angle at the top of the back swing? i have the tendency to to have an angle alot less than 90 degrees.

  1. I honestly don't think it makes a difference. There are so many different golf swings, just use whatever suits you. You don't have to have the best looking swing to be the best player.

  2. You will never gain timing. Alot of pulls and slices. without the good shots. the ball should remain low as the biggest difference though on good shots.

  4. Both the first two answers are correct. You will tend to have a flat swing plane and push right.Timing will be really mechanically difficult to achieve.I have one friend that cannot reach 90 degrees because of an old injury. He sets up with a very closed club face and hooks everything just so he can rely on something.
