  1. It doesn't matter what "brain" you are you can learn to do what ever job you want to.

  2. Do Tickle test for your determine position.

  3. Absolutely, & given the proper conditions you can excel in them.  Early on I was identified as one of those kids that simply could not do math, but I had an interest in electronics & struggled through the math classes (with the help of tutors & some class mates.)

As time went by I picked up the needed math, though I still struggle from time to time.  Later I made several discoveries & got my name on several patents.  People began to pick me as a member of corporate & academic "think tanks" because I had a "different way" of looking at problems.  You should take advantage of that right brain as it has the potential of elevating you above the ordinary if you apply it.

  4. I'm left brained, and have a right brain profession (fine artist).  I struggle a lot.

  5. lol, the short answer is "yes, it is possible for you to do those jobs"

  6. Yes. But you may have to entertain some discontent at a job if you move against yourself....sort of like a left handed person having to use their right.

I'm an artist-as far as Math is concerned-beyond figuring & measuring for a mat and frame measurements--or glaze calculations--I figure that's what a calculator is for..someone who is not artistic won't understand it..but someone who is

You have to manage math-but an artistic person may be good at engineering or architecture- because they'd be adept at spacial things..

I will be honest--a large part of anything--is wanting it. Wanting something-changes it to being do-able...because when you can take pleasure in your task-that's a large part of the pay..How many people enjoy going to work?

There was a book in the late 1960's that came out--called What Color is your Parachute? I'd see if it's still available..

Further than that-I also teach adult art  classes....beyond maybe 1 or 2 art teachers who have taken my class-no one can measure a simple rectangle--and this includes lawyers, nurses, housewives, ..and I've had 5 different physicians-MD'S! in my class....first-made me feel hot to know I was smarter-and somewhat disconcerting to know they were not...but we all have our area we are good at.

Still..99% of my students can't use a ruler to measure a rectangle-if they are given measurement sizes (8x10, 5x7,11zx14) It's sadly a constant disheartening discovery that people don't know how to measure out that specific rectangle on paper. They always measure it wrong.

Forgot to mention--another book-"Drawing with the Right Side of your Brain" Read it.

  7. Within a few seconds, by using mental concentration, you can switch the use of the hemispheres of your brain. Left & Right, just means which side usually dominates in a person. It's not an irreversible condition.

There's a visual test you can take to prove this, if you go to:

    www.ixquick.com

and type in "Left Brain/Right Brain Test".

    It's very revealing!

  8. short answer: yes

longer answer: just because you are a right brained person doesn't mean your left brain doesn't exist. You still have a fully functional brain, and all that being right brained may mean is you're more creative. I'm a very creative person, and often it helps me find a logical explination to a problem. I am seriously the most right brained person you'd ever meet, and yet i want to work in psycology, because I'm good at it.

just because you are a right brained person doesnt mean you don't have any left brained skills.
