  1. The first system seems to be blown out, and I don't think it is going to recover. the system west of the Cape Verde's still has potential. They are also predicting its track to move north of the 30th parallel, that will keep it an Atlantic storm, and out of the Gulf of Mexico. However, at 15/25 MPH there is a lot of ocean for it to cover before it develops. I just hope it picks up and turns north, tracking east of Bermuda. That would mean big swells, but no "Victory at Sea" washing machine waves.

The following is a weather service news release:

National Hurricane Center forecasters say a tropical wave located about 300 miles east of the Lesser Antilles continues to be disorganized, and forecasters said today that “environmental conditions are only marginally favorable for development and the potential for tropical cyclone formation during the next day or two has decreased.”

Because of this weakening, NHC officials said a Hurricane Hunter aircraft mission scheduled for today has been canceled.

Elsewhere in the Atlantic, forecasters said the tropical wave located about 700 miles 650 miles west of the Cape Verde Islands has become a little more concentrated. “Additional development of this system is possible during the next couple of days as it moves westward at 10 to 15 mph,” they report.

  2. My opinion, 92L is going to become quite strong and threaten Florida. Someone on the East Coast is going to get waves.
