I'd have to give it to Pujols. Hes tops in batting and home runs once again and keeping the Cards in contention. Ryan Howard can't hit for average and the Phillies are once again in a losing streak. My dark horse would Chase Utley if the Phils bounce back.

  1. I'd give it to Pujols teammate Ryan Ludwick before him...I think it'll be him or Hanley Ramirez.

  2. david wright or ryan braun.

  3. Jimmy rollins

  4. Utley

  5. Ryan Braun hands down

  6. Pujols.

  7. Wow no love for Holliday again.... sure Colorado isnt where they were last year but he's still out there doing it. But I would have to give my vote to HanRam

  8. Albert Pujols - he's awesome, and his name sounds like poo holes;

  9. I'd say A.P. is the best runner for MVP

  10. Probably Ryan Braun.

  11. If you're going to give it to a Cardinal, I'd give it to Ludwick. Though Albert has a higher average, Ludwick is still hitting over .300, and is on pace to have over 120 RBI's and 40 Hrs. But I think Albert has made a strong case too. You couldn't be wrong with either of them. The one thing about Chase Utley is his defense isn't great. It's not bad, but that along with his slightly lower average and poor play in August could cost him. You could make a case for Ryan Braun too. If the Cardinals make the playoffs and the Brewers don't, then my vote would be Ludwick.

  12. If it were acceptable to give a pitcher votes for MVP, I would hate to say that Brandon Webb deserves at least some consideration. He has 18 wins for a team whose record has fluctuated all year around the .500 mark. Of course Pujols merits the votes, but he's not carrying his team to the playoffs ( Ludwick has done just as much and would take votes away).

  13. Chase utley if the phillies start doing good or ryan braun if the phillies just suck

  14. Chase Utley

  15. Yes, Pujols has a great shot but lets not forget about Chipper Jones. The guys is a great fielder and is batting .365. Pujols, though he is also a good fielder is batting slightly lower with a .349 average.

  16. I'd say Pujols or possibly Ryan Ludwick
