Right or Left contact...does it matter?

does it matter which contact you put in your eyes??? It took me FOREVER to get my contacts in! I FINALLY got them in today!!! But then I looked at my case, and I put the left one in the right and the right in the left....does it matter?? I cant really tell, they are both a little blurry cuz my eyes are still adjusting...

Nah it ok for one day, i mixed my up and could never tell.

it doesn't matter unless you have a different prescription for each eye. Good luck with your contacts, I know it can be tricky at first!!

It only matters if your eyes are different prescriptions. Mine are both the same, so I can swap contacts if I want--the doctor has even told me that it okay.  Even if your eyes are different, it probably won't hurt you if you do it just one day.

If they are the same or close to the same prescription it would not hurt you for a day.  I only wear one contact lens in my left eye so it is not possible for me to have that issue at this point.  I have a few friends where both eyes have the same prescription and switch theirs every so often.

I think even if I end up eventually wearing two lenses I do not think I would be able to see well if I switched them and would immediately know since the prescriptions would be really different.  My left eye has 1.5 diopters of astigmatism and my right eye has normal vision right now.

If you have two different prescriptions for each eye it matters...or if one eye is infected.

For me it matters because the prescription for my right eye is a little stronger then my left.

It only matters if your two eyes are two different prescriptions. Some people's eyes are different from one another, and some are the same. I wear contacts, and my eyes are the same, so it doesn't matter if I mix them up. It will get easier to put them in, too. It just takes some practice. :]

YES! That's why they're labeled appropriately. Your eyes are usually different.
