Right when i get braces?

Question

im getting my braces on next thursday.

i just got spacers today.

it hurt alittle but took less than one minute.

and the pain went right away.

but right when there done do they put the colors on when you just got them?

or do they wait a couple of days????

they put the colors right on.  The colored bands are not just to look pretty---they also tighten the brackets.

they'll put the colors on right then. The colors are the rubber bands that hold your wires on. They'll let you choose right then. Each month that you have your braces checked, you will be able to change the colors. Enjoy your braces, and soon your new straight teeth!

they wouldn't put colors on mine for a couple months.  a word to the wise: get used to the braces before you get the colored bands--the bands make your teeth sore.  even though the spacers don't hurt all that much, you're going to be in pain for a few days once you get the braces on.

depends.  For me they put the braces on the top with no wire.  The next week they put them on the bottom with no wires.

The next month they added the wires.  That's when they give you the color options.

Some dentists put the color bands on even though there is no wire just to lessen the braces from ripping your mouth apart

they put on the colors right away. ( well at least for me they did) its going to hurt the first few days, so dont forget to go out and buy soft foods to eat, like yogurt , jello, soups, apple sause , things like that.. good luck =D

well it depends. My first time i didn't get any colors. I went back in 2 weeks and then they gave me colors. The colors getting put on actually hurts quite a bit.
