  1. you have a right to keep and bare arms. This was not put in place for hunting or criminals, it was to control the government when it gets too powerful. A well regulated militia does not mean an army, a militia is every ablebodied man/ woman. well regulated meant  sane and under control. You have to use the terminology from the 1700s not todays terminology.If you use todays terminology, then the constitution means nothing. You have the responsibility to take back control from the government when they have become a source of tyranny much like the government has done now. there is no first third, fourth or nineteenth amendment without the second amendments. if you want to know what the founding fathers were thinking and intended when designing the constitution, read their own words. read the Federalist and the Anti Federalist papers.

    The Bill of Rights outlines what rights your were born with. These are rights the Government isnt supposed to touch, these are yours by birth. Other than that, the Constitution doesnt give you a right to anything else other than to persue what makes you happy. no where does it give you a right to an education, medical insurance or welfare. these are all socialist programs, and they are incompatible with a capitalistic republic. Our Constitution gaurentees a Republican form of Government, not a Democracy.

  2. Some ideas for rights and responsibilities

    Owning a home

    Driving a car

    Being an employee

    Being a business owner

    Being a parent

    Marriage

  3. What about the 19th Amendment, the one that gave women the "Right" to vote...therefore we have the responsibility (did I spell that right because I'm very tired right now) to research our candidates and issues and vote properly (not how our husbands tell us, which some women have done in the past). This was a hard-earned amendment, so I hope you touch on this one ;)    {{{Empress Hug}}}
